What are secondary progressions?

In secondary progressions, each day after your birth corresponds to one year of your life. So if you are 35 years old, your progressed chart is the chart cast for the 35th day after your birth. This creates a slow-moving clock that tracks the internal, psychological evolution of your chart — distinct from transits, which show external events.

Frequently asked questions

What is the most important progressed factor?
The progressed Moon is the most dynamic: it changes sign every ~2.5 years and house every 2-3 years, marking clear emotional phases. Progressed Sun changes are rarer but deeper — a generation-defining identity shift. New and Full progressed Moons are particularly significant.
How are progressions different from transits?
Transits are external: actual planets moving through the sky and activating your natal chart from outside. Progressions are internal: the symbolic unfolding of your natal chart from within. Transits show events; progressions show who you are becoming. Serious astrologers use both together.
