On Sunday, November 29, 2026, Madrid wakes with the waning Moon in Leo and the Sun in the first degrees of Sagittarius. It is a day ruled by the Sun, because Sunday is the solar day in classical astrology. At 09:00 the Moon is at 12°23′ in Leo and at 20:00 at 18°52′. It spends the whole day in the sign of the lion.

You cross the street, vote, and wait for the count. The sky has its own pulse: Mars squares Uranus, Venus sextiles Jupiter, and the Sun trines Saturn. They are not promises of results, only tensions and supports that coexist in the atmosphere.

This is not a prediction of who will win: astrology describes the climate, citizens vote.

The backdrop of the era: slow planets

Slow planets set the pace of a generation, not of a single day. On Nov 29, Uranus at 3°31′ in Gemini forms an exact trine with Pluto at 3°32′ in Aquarius: a 120° aspect between two planets that move very slowly. A trine does not bring sudden events, but an underlying current. Uranus asks for change, innovation, and rupture; Pluto, collective power and transformation of structures. Their agreement to the minute is rare and gives the period a tone of far-reaching reform.

That trine does not stand alone. Uranus sextiles Neptune (orb of 1°52′) and Neptune sextiles Pluto. A sextile is a 60° aspect: opportunity, not obligation. Here the social mind, ideals, and the capacity for regeneration mix. In addition, Neptune at 1°40′ in Aries and Saturn at 8°03′ in Aries, both retrograde, open the sign of the ram with two opposite forces: Saturn, which structures and restrains, and Neptune, which dissolves and confuses. Saturn in Aries is in fall, a debility according to tradition, indicating difficulty imposing order without friction.

The North Node is at 23°51′ in Aquarius and the South Node at 23°51′ in Leo. In classical astrology, the nodes are not planets, but the points where the Moon's orbit cuts the ecliptic. The North Node indicates where the collective tends: Aquarius, the common, networks, social innovation. The South Node in Leo suggests letting go of attachment to personal brilliance. Jupiter at 26°44′ in Leo, near the South Node, adds a note of expansive confidence that should be handled without arrogance.

A Sunday with the Moon in Leo and stars on the angles

Sunday is the Sun's day in classical astrology, and the Sun is at 7°19′ in Sagittarius, trine Saturn with an orb of 0°44′. That contact favors seriousness and responsibility, but does not bring vertigo. Venus at 27°13′ in Libra, in its domicile, forms a sextile to Jupiter with an orb of 0°29′: a touch of diplomacy and good manners in the middle of the day. At the same time, Mars at 1°23′ in Virgo squares Uranus with an orb of 2°08′: nervous tension, unexpected events, and sharp discussions.

The Moon is waning in Leo all day, which classical astrology associates with a closing phase rather than a sowing phase. It is not a void-of-course Moon: after the polling stations close, around 21:45, the Moon at 19°54′ in Leo forms a square to Mercury in Scorpio, just during the count. That square can bring nerves in the communication of results, contradictory data, or hasty readings. Then on Monday the 30th, the Moon joins Jupiter in Leo around 09:15 and sextiles Venus around 10:00: an expansive breather after election night.

The opening of the polling stations at 09:00 in Madrid has the Ascendant at 15°02′ in Sagittarius and the Midheaven at 4°56′ in Libra. On the Midheaven, the fixed star Megrez falls with an orb of 0°21′; tradition describes it as violent and destructive, a background warning, not an event. On the Descendant, Algol is placed at 0°50′: the Head of Medusa, which demands self-control to transform obstacles. Within orb of the Ascendant (at 1°40′), Antares, a Royal Star, gives courage and success in struggle, on the condition of avoiding impulsiveness. At 20:00, with the Ascendant at 10°18′ in Cancer, Alphecca on the Descendant at 0°46′ speaks of honor and patient merit, while Nunki brings truthfulness and governmental authority.

Houses also matter. In the morning, the Sun is in the 12th house, that of the hidden; the Moon in the 8th, that of shared resources; Mercury in the 11th, that of collectives; Venus in the 10th, the most visible. In the afternoon, the Sun moves to the 6th house, the Moon to the 2nd, and Saturn to the 10th: work, resources, and public reputation share the spotlight.

The four candidates and the sky of November 29

The birth times of the four candidates are not known with certainty, so we do not use the Ascendant, houses, or the Moon's degree. We work with natal planets and transits, plus the fixed stars on those planets.

Santiago Abascal (Vox)

Abascal is born with the Sun at 24°35′ in Aries, exalted, and Mars at 12°49′ in Cancer, in fall. He has Sirius on Mars, the brightest star, with an orb of 0°56′: ambition and possibility of public distinction. Procyon on Saturn at 0°51′ adds rapid rise through cunning, and asks for prudence to maintain it. On Nov 29, Jupiter trine his natal Sun with an orb of 2°09′ is an expansive support; Saturn conjunct his natal Venus with an orb of 0°36′ demands seriousness in emotional and economic matters. The day's Sun, moreover, trines his natal Venus with a very tight orb of 0°08′: certain warmth in direct dealings. Venus square his natal Saturn (orb 0°54′) can cool dealings, and Pluto square his natal Jupiter (orb 0°55′) stirs deep-seated beliefs. Among the stars, not all is tension: Sirius is the brightest star in the sky and tradition associates it with ambition and fame. This should not be seen as fatality, but as a day of testing and responsibility.

Ada Colau (Broad Front)

Colau has the Sun at 12°29′ in Pisces and a notable accumulation of planets in Aquarius and Gemini. On her Venus, Altair with an orb of 0°08′ gives courage and public ambition; on her Saturn, Polaris at 0°26′ speaks of spiritual lucidity, but also of afflictions overcome with patience. Nov 29 brings her many contacts: Neptune sextile Venus (orb 0°07′) and Mars (orb 0°34′), Pluto conjunct Venus (orb 1°59′) and trine Mars (orb 1°17′). It is a transformative network, not a simple quiet day. At the same time, Mars opposite her natal Mercury (orb 1°56′) and square her natal Mars (orb 0°51′) warns of cutting words and impulsive decisions. Jupiter also opposes her Mercury and her natal Jupiter, with orbs of 2°44′ and 2°05′: expansion of expectations that should be checked against facts. There is no sentence in this: only a sky that demands temperance.

Alberto Núñez Feijóo (PP)

Feijóo is born with the Sun at 17°29′ in Virgo and Saturn at 23°29′ in Capricorn, in its domicile. The royal star Regulus falls near his Uranus and North Node: leadership and fortune, with the classical warning to avoid vengeance. Peacock on Saturn at 0°13′ indicates desire for public recognition, and Vindemiatrix on Mercury at 1°00′ gives an analytical mind, but warns of possible false hopes. On Nov 29, the Sun sextiles his natal Mercury with an orb of 1°05′: help to communicate clearly. However, Venus square his natal Jupiter (orb 0°23′) can lead to overpromising, and Saturn opposite his natal Mercury (orb 0°21′) demands seriousness in speech and caution with data. He also has Alioth on Pluto, which tradition links with perseverance amid collective tensions; it is not an announcement, but a call to internal order. These are transits of responsibility, not euphoria. The tradition of Regulus is powerful, but Robson insists: greatness is preserved only if revenge is avoided.

Pedro Sánchez (PSOE)

Sánchez is born with the Sun at 9°58′ in Pisces and Jupiter at 3°51′ in Capricorn, in fall. On his Jupiter, Kaus Media and Kaus Australis fall with orbs of 0°20′ and 0°50′: honors, promotions, and an idealistic mind. Situla on his Sun at 0°56′ brings sensitivity and good fortune in artistic matters. Seginus on Uranus at 0°26′ warns of losses through associations, and Alcyone on Saturn at 0°45′ combines eminence with turbulence and falls from fortune if moderation is not kept. On Nov 29, Mercury trine his natal Mercury with an orb of 0°31′ favors the exchange of ideas. Mars square his natal Saturn (orb 1°01′) strains patience; Neptune square his natal Jupiter (orb 2°11′) dissolves expansion. Neptune sextile his natal Saturn (orb 1°18′) offers a spiritual or institutional outlet. It is not a comfortable sky, but one of learning.
